Status Report 1
Most of this workshop I focused on honing what artifacts I would place in each category. I create a comprehensive list for each item, even the ones I haven't done yet, so I would know how to plan and how to set up my folders and site. I moved the artifacts I did have into the appropriate folders.
Status Report 2
Today I continued sorting my artifacts and decided which ones I wanted to use for each category. I also decided which topics I wanted to use as my additional categories and selected some artifacts for those. I attempted to start on creating my actual portfolio through webs.com, but it kept giving me problems and errors so I didn't get much done there and will try again letter, maybe when the site is less busy.

I went back to the site I'm using to build my portfolio and did some good work there today. I chose a theme (visually for the site and for my portfolio overall), made the pages for each corresponding section of my portfolio, chose some pictures to go on the site, and also wrote my introduction on my home page. I encountered some problems when I tried to start uploading documents. It appears as though you have to have a separate page for your documents, which I'm not sure if I want, and I may need to try and find a way around this. I had a few issues but overall the site is very user friendly and I like what I've got so far.
Status Report 4: 10/19
I decided to try and start uploading some of my documents since I had my pages organized. I was anticipating a lot of trouble with uploading successfully but it actually turned out to be really easy, and it looks pretty nice too. I like how it allowed me to separate the documents into categories so they could still be organized into their respective categories for my portfolio (since they couldn't be on the actual page). I also added a short description before each one to explain the artifact. I uploaded all of the artifacts I knew I was planning to use, and create categories and spaces for artifacts I knew I would need but either didn't have or hadn't decided what I would use. Uploading, organizing, and providing a description for all of my documents was easy but turned out to be fairly time-consuming.
Status Report 5: 11/9
Today I tried to tackle uploading as many photos as I could. First I chose what pictures would go on each page for each individual category. This turned out to be harder than I expected because the photo space was not large enough for many of the pictures that I wanted to use. It wasn't until I was at least 30 minutes in that I realized you could make the photo box bigger. Actually uploading the photos turned out to be slower than I expected as well. Maybe my internet connection was getting slower, but uploading the photos took awhile. What I did like was that after you uploaded a photo to the website, it stayed there so if you uploaded a photo once you didn't have to upload it twice. I placed some photos on the side of the pages also to serve as artifacts, and set some placeholders for photos I didn't have yet.
